The Adelaide University Rural Health Alliance AGM and elections will be held on the Thursday 15th of October!
AURHA is a great club to be involved in. There is always support from other students, staff and academics. There are positions to cater for every level of involvement, and assisting with projects outside your ‘portfolio’ is always encouraged. AURHA promotes rural health, careers and lifestyles to students from various health degrees. We’ve got clinical skills trips for each year level, rural high school visits to promote university to rural high school students, a number of social events throughout the year, the Indigenous festival in Port Augusta; Vibe Alive, the SA university rural health forum; Campfire and many more.
AURHA also has strong ties to the other rural health clubs in South Australia at Flinders Uni (FURHS) and Uni SA (ROUSTAH). AURHA is a member of the National Rural Health Students Network, a council of the 22 rural health clubs from around Australia. There is the chance to attend their national conference in 2009.
It’s a perfect opportunity to have a look at, and be involved in, rural health, and as an added bonus, we’ve got free drinks and food at our AGM!
